HotCodePush

binary

List and inspect store builds with hotcodepush binary, and the binary create build step that writes the resource file and registers the build.

hotcodepush binary create is the build step a store build runs from the Xcode phase or the Gradle task the SDK package ships, and nobody types it. A binary is one store build with the fingerprint it was built on and the bundle it ships. list and get read them, and --binary <id> names one.

create

The build step of a store build: creates the binary with the embedded bundle it ships and writes the resource file the SDK reads, naming that bundle. Every other build runs resource-file write. HOTCODEPUSH_OFFLINE=1 builds without the API, naming no channel unless it is given by id and creating no binary. In CI the step needs HOTCODEPUSH_TOKEN.

OptionTypeDescription
--binary-build <build>stringThe store build's build number, from the build's variables.
--binary-version <version>stringThe store build's version, from the build's variables.
--embedded-bundle-path <dir>stringThe directory of the embedded bundle, the files the build puts into the app. Defaults to the framework's build output.
--forcebooleanReplace a binary whose fingerprint conflicts, for the deliberate pre-ship rebuild.
--platform <platform>android | iosThe platform being built, ios or android.
--resource-file-path <file>stringWhere the resource file goes, in the app the build makes.
hotcodepush binary create --platform ios --embedded-bundle-path build/App.app/public --resource-file-path build/App.app/hotcodepush.json --binary-version 2.4.1 --binary-build 57
hotcodepush binary create --platform android --embedded-bundle-path build/assets/public --resource-file-path build/assets/hotcodepush.json --binary-version 2.4.1 --binary-build 57 --force

list

List the binaries, the store builds whose build created one, with the bundle each ships and the devices running it. The device counts appear in the text output only.

OptionTypeDescription
--limit <count>numberHow many to list, at most 100; 50 by default.
--offset <count>numberHow many to skip: the offset the previous page ended with.
hotcodepush binary list
hotcodepush binary list --app "My App" --json

get

Print a binary, a store build whose build created it, with the bundle it ships and the devices running it.

OptionTypeDescription
--binary <id>stringThe binary, by id.
hotcodepush binary get --binary 6ba7b810-9dad-41d1-80b4-00c04fd430c8
hotcodepush binary get --binary 6ba7b810-9dad-41d1-80b4-00c04fd430c8 --json
