HotCodePush

bundle

Upload, get, list and delete bundles with hotcodepush bundle, the uploaded builds a release hands to a channel.

hotcodepush bundle uploads and manages bundles, the uploaded builds of the app's JavaScript and assets, numbered per app. A release hands one to a channel. Since release create runs the same upload first, bundle upload is for a build released later. The signing rules are on Sign your bundles.

upload

Upload a build as a bundle, signed where a key is configured. Only the files the app lacks move, then the full pack. Nothing is released.

Source maps, dotfiles and the native glue, cordova.js, cordova_plugins.js and plugins/, stay out, and above 512 MB the upload is refused (limits). Cordova's merges/ files ride a release only when --path names the platform's www.

OptionTypeDescription
--bundle-version <label>stringThe bundle's version label. Defaults to the project's package.json version.
--git-message <subject>stringThe commit message subject to record, over the detected one.
--git-ref <ref>stringThe branch or tag to record, over the detected one.
--git-sha <sha>stringThe commit to record, over the detected one.
--no-gitbooleanDetect no git provenance. The typed --git-* flags still apply.
--path <dir>stringThe build to upload, the framework's build output by default: on React Native and Expo one platform's prepared bundle, Capacitor's webDir or Cordova's www.
--platform <list>stringThe platforms the bundle serves, ios, android by default.
--private-key-path <file>stringThe private key file to sign with, as signing-key create wrote it. In CI, HOTCODEPUSH_SIGNING_KEY holds its content.

list

List an app's bundles, newest first: the uploaded ones by default, the ones binaries ship with --source binary, both with --source all. A bundle a store build ships carries no number, and no release can carry it.

OptionTypeDescription
--bundle-version <label>stringOnly the bundles carrying this version label.
--limit <count>numberHow many to list, at most 100; 50 by default.
--offset <count>numberHow many to skip: the offset the previous page ended with.

hotcodepush bundle list
hotcodepush bundle list --source all --bundle-version 1.4.2 --json

delete

Delete a bundle now. One a release serves or a store build embeds is refused. Confirms once (--yes in a script).

hotcodepush bundle delete --bundle 17
hotcodepush bundle delete --bundle 17 --yes --json
